Michelle Wedderburn is the founder and CEO of Afro Expats. As an expat mentor, travel insider, travel curator, and relocation consultant with a background in management, customer service, public relations and entrepreneurship, she helps people confidently navigate their visits as well as temporary or permanent moves abroad. In a nutshell, if you are interested in shaking things up but you are not sure how to make your transition into international living or long-term travel easier, she can help.
Over the last 25 plus years, Michelle has been to more than 33 countries and moved to Mexico full-time in 2018 with her husband and son. She has a passion for other cultures and seeing the world through the eyes of each place she visits. She founded Afro Expats to encourage and help people, and especially people of color to live abroad and pursue the new home of their dreams.
Darryl Waters, Born and raised in Connecticut, Darryl’s background is heavy in law enforcement, military and sports. Prior to retiring, he spent his final years in corporate working for Yale University in New Haven, CT. He is a family man, a son, a husband, but also recently joined his wife in San Miguel de Allende Mexico to become a full-time Expat taking advantage of an early retirement and now lives in Mexico. He relocated to Mexico in February 2020, after commuting between Mexico and the US for over 2 years.
Darryl is a natural comedian, storyteller and an enthusiast for life and his family. He is well-traveled, loves Caribbean music, music in general, dancing and looks for every opportunity to socialize and make people laugh.
